Hey, better than the finger.

Best one I've seen was a flip-flop (or thong to all you backwards Europeans and Australians) balanced in front of the plate.

I've always wondered, though, what's the big deal about not showing license plates? I mean, it's not like I can't see the license plate in person...

What happened to opening it up in paint, instead of travelling to McDonalds, ordering a soft drink, and then using the straw to cover up the licence plate of an old 626.

I use a set of made up detailing plates for taking picture of cars I've cleaned but it can so easily be done with two elastic bands and a piece of cardboard.
